Susanna Mitton

With a focus on high-level client relationship management and running large-scale translation projects in any language, Susanna heads our operations at CoreText Group. Her expert production and organizational skills, coupled with experience with American, Japanese and European business practices, allow her to meet the expectations of our customers around the world.

A native of the Netherlands, she started working in the translation industry in 1997. As Vice President of Legal Translation Services at LanguageWorks, she led a team of project managers that handled projects for major US law firms, designed customized workflows, and managed client relationships.

She subsequently worked as an independent consultant to various translation agencies and printing companies in and around New York, providing project management, translation, editing and interpreting services, and assisting with employee recruitment and training.

Prior to working in translations, Susanna was a Vice President at Office Kei, a New York-based Japanese media company. As a segment producer/production manager, she set up shoots for Japanese networks in the US and Europe, generated and developed program ideas for weekly prime-time TV shows, was a reporter for a popular Japanese game-show, and purchased radio rights to rock concerts for Japan’s largest FM radio station.

Susanna is bilingual in Dutch and English, holds a Master’s degree in Japanese Language and Culture from Leiden University, and also speaks French, German and Spanish. She met her husband, magician Mark Mitton, while working in an amusement park in Japan. They live in Manhattan with their two doves.
